Tasting - "Indwe Sauvignon Blanc"

Name: Indwe Sauvignon Blanc
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Coastal Region of the Western Cape
Country: South Africa
Year: 2011
Alcohol: N/A
Vintage Cellar Price: Sale $7.95

Review: "Grapes are meticulously sourced from our grape producers along the Coastal region of the Western Cape ensuring complexity and freshness in the wine. Indwe Sauvignon Blanc is full of layers, balance and persistence. The wine is imbued with tropical and citrus notes, with hints of melon and gooseberry flavors."

My Review: I personally thought the nose was very crisp and clean, as well as a strong hint of pomegranate. I especially enjoyed how bold the taste and flavors were compared to other Sauvignon Blancs that I have tried. I don't know for sure but if this is what South Africa is producing I'm definitely on board. The finish to it wasn't subtle but wasn't over powering my taste buds. It was more like a rave in my mouth. I would definitely recommend this wine to anyone who is a fan of the full flavored, punch-you in the taste buds (in a good way) kinda wine drinker.

On this occasion I tasted this wine on its own without food
